Google IMAP, YEAH

About the only thing more exciting than Leopard's release last month, at least for me, was Gmail's support for IMAP. I craved IMAP so much that I wrote to Google, more than once, to consider incorporating it, and that I and others like me were willing to pay extra for it. Imagine my surprise when Google finally announced its support, and for free. For the non-geeks, IMAP basically lets you deal with your e-mails just once, and all your mail clients will sync and make the changes accordingly, whether you're onĀ webmail, Apple Mail, or iPhone Mail. Here's how to set up IMAP for your mail client:


Oh, and Google bumping Gmail storage to 4.7GB was pretty cool too.
