New Mac mini

Today's product announcements weren't terribly exciting, but at least I got 1 of 2 things I wished for. The new Mac mini with Front Row and Apple Remote is just what my sister needs for her Plasma TV. She's not a computer person, so the basic model is suffice for movies and music. Connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and she can get online from her sofa. She'll like that.

As for my 12" MacBook Pro, I guess I'll have to wait for the next announcement.

[Update: March 1, 2006; 7:30 PM] I placed an order for a Mac mini with my local Apple shop. I got the 1.5 GHz Intel Core Solo model, along with the Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. The manager told me it'll only take a few days to arrive, just in time for my sister's birthday. It's great when new Apple products arrive in Hong Kong almost simultaneously with the states.
