LaCie d2 Hard Drive Extreme

As I had expected, taking my broken 80GB portable disk to my local Apple shop was no help. The drive was unmountable, unrecoverable, unusable. I was given the option to leave the drive with them and have them replace an identical one, or I can choose a newer model and pay the difference. I chose the LaCie d2 Hard Drive Extreme, with a 250GB capacity. It's got FireWire 800, 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces, so I can use any port with my PowerBook. It lists for HK$1980, but I paid only HK$800 with my broken trade-in.

With the money I saved, I also bought a Wacom Graphire4 tablet for my friend's birthday.
